Isiah Thomas Overdoses On Sleeping Pills; But is Fine
Sad news for Isiah Thomas.
Police rushed to the former basketball great and former New York Knicks’ head coach’s home in upstate New York Friday morning after he overdosed on sleeping pills, reports Usmagazine.com.
“An ambulance was called to his residence around midnight, and a party was transported to White Plains Hospital,” the police spokesman told Us. “It was a party from his residence. It was ruled an overdose.”
The police would not confirm if the overdose involved drugs or alcohol, or if it was a suicide attempt.
Thomas was fired as the New York Knicks’ head coach on April 18.
A spokesperson for the team told CBS that Thomas is fine.
