Today, Tom Cruise made light of his Today show on-air fight with Matt Lauer at a Friday roast.

“Lose my number, you glib putz,” Cruise, joked during the Friar Club Roast at the New York Hilton Hotel.

“Why don’t you sit down?” Lauer shot back. “We’ll get you a booster seat!”

Cruise continued:

“I get to go from movie location to movie location and from international location to international location, and all you do is sit on a couch all day and interview the car from Knight Rider and cook radishes with Rachael Ray!” he said.

Added Cruise: “You’re the one who told me to talk about Katie Holmes on Oprah!” (Cruise underwent scrutiny after he jumped on Winfrey’s sofa as he gushed about Holmes.)
