IN TOUCH WEEKLY: Friends Say Angelina Jolie is Pregnant AGAIN!

How do you know that (as predicted) In Touch Weekly’s cover featuring Jen Aniston looking pregnant did well?

The answer is simple.  Look at the cover of this week’s In Touch.

It’s basically the same cover as last week – but this week’s pregnancy candidate is Angelina Jolie.

The big difference is that In Touch is taking a more definitive approach with its main line by saying “She’s Pregnant Again!”

Sure, there’s the “friends say” line.  But, this is an incredibly strong cover and it will fly off the newsstand.

Why?

It’s the shock value.

Angelina just had twins – like yesterday.

And, EIC Richard Spencer insets the always fun “bump alert” picture.  Again, I’m straining my eyes to see the bump.  But, you have to remember that readers on the newsstand are impulsive.  They will simply see the bump alert and throw the mag in their shopping cart.

Plus, the magazine uses the quote “We’re going to have more kids” to support its main headline.  Nice touch!

Bottom Line: Look for In Touch to have its strongest week on the newsstand in MONTHS!
