OK! Magazine announced today that Beth Jacobson will join the magazine as Director of Communications on Monday, Nov. 17.
Jacobson’s responsibilities will include overseeing consumer and trade press for the U.S. version of the celebrity weekly.
“With her impressive background in the magazine business and in media relations, Beth will be an asset in advancing the profile of OK! Magazine,” said OK! Magazine General Manager Kent Brownridge, to whom Jacobson will report. “We look forward to having her come on board.”
Jacobson joins OK! Magazine from Wenner Media’s Rolling Stone, where she served as the magazine’s Publicity Director since 2006.
Prior to Rolling Stone, Jacobson was the Vice President of Publicity for Wind-Up Records and also worked at Press Here Publicity and Tommy Boy Music, where she headed Media Relations and Artist Development for the label. “OK! is at a crossroads right now, and I am excited to work with Kent Brownridge, Editor-in-Chief Susan Toepfer and Publisher Lori Burgess as they guide the magazine in a new direction,” said Beth Jacobson. “I will be managing communications for the magazine as the various changes in OK!’s business and editorial take effect, and I look forward to this opportunity.”
Jacobson will be based in OK! Magazine’s New York City headquarters.
