PAULA GOODSPEED SUICIDE: New Details Emerge About Her Obsession with Paula Abdul

The tragic tale of former American Idol contestant Paula Goodspeed’s suicide makes the cover of today’s New York Post.

She was mercilessly ripped by judges after a 2005 tryout.  See the sad video here.

Abdul has been a judge on the Fox talent show since its first season in 2002 and said the following in a statement:

“I am deeply shocked and saddened…My heart and prayers go out to her family.”

“The family said they had not seen her since about 11 p.m. Monday, and they were worried she might try to overdose,” said Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio.

All the Signs Were There!

“She had mental-health issues, depression and an infatuation with Paula Abdul.”

In an apparent homage to Abdul, the “Idol” worshipper had personalized license plates reading “ABL LV” framed in LA Lakers license-plate holders. She also had a picture of Abdul hanging from her rear-view mirror.
