Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston Dominate the Celeb Weeklies

When newsstand buyers hit the stores this weekend, they’ll be faced with a big decision and it doesn’t involve the Obamas (when it comes to the glossies.)
Three different weeklies featuring the familiar love triangle – Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston.
In Touch Weekly goes with the forgiveness angle and has Brad Pitt apologizing to Jennifer Aniston. The mag asks whether or not she’ll be able to put past the hurt. (Please Jen, don’t. It’s too much fun having you bitter!)
Star Magazine takes the opposite approach than In Touch and features Brad Pitt telling Jen to SHUT UP. (A very successful cover line for Star Magazine in the past – fyi.)
Us Weekly explains How Angelina is torturing poor Jen and offers up some juicy details in the dek, e.g. how she got naked on set to seduce Brad and what she says about Jen behind her back. (I want to know!)
So, (as every celebrity weekly asks about celebrities when it comes to fashion)
WHO DID IT BETTER? Make the jump!
The big winner is Us Weekly. It’s the only mag of the three that features Jen vs. Angelina, which is the battle readers care most about. The details in the dek and the perfect photo selection make this cover the clear winner.
A close second goes to Star. And – it’s very close – if not a tie with Us Weekly. I love that Star placed all three stars on the cover. My issue is with the main line. Women LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Brad Pitt and seeing him say something like SHUT UP, JEN comes across as mean, which is the way readers don’t like to see him. It’s War (which is inset above) would have been a better line and was what I suggested on Friday.
And, the big loser of the week goes to In Touch, which has been on a big winner recently in my opinion. Not so good this week though, especially with the tough competition from Us and Star. I know I just said readers like to see Brad Pitt in a positive light, but the “I’m Sorry” line is TOO SOFT. I could care less that Brad apologized.
