EXCLUSIVE: OK's Kent Brownridge Says "We're the Only People Hiring"

The market might be tough, but OK! Magazine’s GM Kent Brownridge told CoverAwards exclusively that the magazine is seeking to fill five positions (three on the edit side and two on the business side.)

Brownridge says, “We’re the only people hiring.”

And, Brownridge is very open about tapping into his long-time network of friends in the industry to help him with recruiting his team.  He said he has turned to publishing vet “Bonnie Fuller,” among others, for talent recommendations, which was was recently reported exclusively by CoverAwards.

Browridge adds, “You’re not going to reach the Super Bowl without having the best in every position.”

Brownridge is also bullish about OK!’s progress since he joined the team and stated that the magazine is beating its 900,000 rate base with each issue.

He attributes the positive response from three key improvements made to the magazine, including design, better reporting and a more coherent flow to the magazine.
