Life & Style Features 'Twilight Romance'

There’s a ton of buzz surrounding the film Twilight and Life & Style takes a risk this week by hoping this buzz will translate into newsstand sales.  (That’s usually not the case – btw.)

The good news is that the magazine focuses on the romance between the film’s co-stars Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

If the cover was simply focused on the movie, this cover would be a complete DISASTER.

But, the romance factor still doesn’t make this a solid cover for Life & Style.

Why?

The background on this cover appears muddy – it’s almost brown.  Yuck.  And, it won’t stand-out on the newsstand.

Plus, the photos of the two stars are not so good.  While the newsstand buyer does get eye contact, the main photo looks strange.

Bottom Line: If this sells, look for many more celeb weeklies to tie into big feature movies.
