Hysterical photo of Britney Spears coupled with the cover line makes this an over-the-top, fun cover from Star Magazine.

While that could be enough to make newsstand buyers grab this copy of Star, the supporting photos fall a bit short.

Don’t love the Oprah picture or Angelina picture.  Star should have gone more in the Britney Spears’ photo direction.

Same thing with the inset photos.  Those are boring.

And the dek is throwing too much at the reader and doesn’t give away any details.  There are simply TOO MANY QUESTIONS.

Bottom Line: Strong first reaction is what counts most on the newsstand.  So, a good week for Star.
