Hey OK! Don't Fire The Person Responsible for Putting Y On Ashlee Simpson's First Name
Sad news the day before Thanksgiving.
Page Six is reporting that a person will be axed because of the now infamous misspelling of Ashlee Simpson’s name on the cover of OK! Magazine.
According to Page Six, “Somebody’s head should roll at OK! Just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor in chief, the glossy had its first big bungle. It somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” – on the cover, no less.
A rep for the magazine told Page Six, “It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will be probably fired.”
Is OK! Magazine seriously going to fire somebody over this error?
If that’s the case….that is
Ridiculous.
We all know where the final responsibility falls when it comes to the cover of the magazine.
So to fire an underling is lame.
Hopefully, OK! Magazine will do the right thing and let the scapegoat (or turkey) live another day.
What do you think? Is this misspelling a fire-able offense?
P.S. Isn’t it sad for Ashlee Simpson that her name being mispelled is bigger than most things she does in her life?
