“Beyonce is the biggest star in the world. She loves GIANT and we love her so it was a perfect match. It’s her second GIANT cover so the challenge was how to top her first cover where Beyonce was wearing curlers in her hair. We hired Ellen Von Unwerth, who photographed her the first time, because she has a great rapport with Beyonce.

The shoot was great because Beyonce is a professional and has fun while she is working. It was an eight hour shoot that started with Beyonce on all fours and ended with her walking down the street in hot pants and a trench coat in the rain. It was an Editor-in-Chief’s dream shoot. What else could you ask for from a cover shoot?”
