Now, let’s look at this from both sides.
It is possible that Janet Jackson is pregnant and is in the earliest stages of pregnancy. Thus, she doesn’t want to let the word out.
But, like any yenta she told one of her friends the joyous news. (Ok, it was me. Just kidding.)
And, then, that friend told Life & Style.
Do you buy it?
Neither do I.
Will newsstand buyers buy it? (That’s the other side of the discussion btw.)
Possibly. And, this is because it appears to be coming directly from Ms. Jackson’s own mouth – YES, I’M PREGNANT.
The one thing that would make this a conclusive buy on the newsstand is at least some photo evidence that Janet was showing a bump of some sort – even if it was from a burrito.
On a more serious note, if you can actually take this seriously, Janet Jackson is a strong person to place on the cover. She’s done well in the past – especially when it’s been a weight loss cover.
Plus, she recently canceled all of her concerts for no good reason. I’ve been wondering what’s up with her!
But, God help the person who’s responsible for the “YES, I’M PREGNANT” line if she didn’t say that or isn’t pregnant.
Bottom Line: A kick up to rate base for 2009 for L&S this week.
