With the historic Inauguration taking place on Tuesday, January 20th, this issue of Life & Style hits newsstands just in time.

Sure, there have been a ton of covers featuring Barack Obama.

Sure, there have been many Michelle Obama covers like this one.

Sure, Us Weekly went with the Dad angle like this Life & Style cover.

Sure, there have been many family covers.

I’ve even asked if editors were going to the well too many times with the Obamas!

But, IT DOESN’T MATTER!

I like this cover.

It’s a great family photo and the line President Dad is very endearing.

The dek almost makes it seems like Barack Obama sat down with Life & Style.  It’s the part that says “Barack Obama reveals how he’ll do it all.”  I also chuckled at Barack having to explain the birds and the bees – didn’t you?

The only issue facing Life & Style this week is the stiff competition on the newsstand.  However, that’s nothing new.

But, both People and Us Weekly brought out their best this week.

And, in a continuing tough marketplace, Life & Style will have trouble grabbing those readers.

Bottom Line: A good effort
