MANY people will be offended by the intention of this new Life & Style cover.

The main line is clearly designed to make the reader believe that Chris Brown ATTACKED Rihanna again (physically.)

While the dek clears that up a little by suggesting that Chris Brown lashes out at Rihanna…the average newsstand buyer will think that this was “another beating.”

Will this approach succeed on the newsstand?

Sadly, yes.

Here’s why.

• The story is still red hot.
• The magazine offers new details in the dek, which claims the beating was in self-defense.

Bottom Line: Tasteless.
