Up first is Life & Style Weekly featuring Jennifer Aniston and her plans to be a single mom.

(It’s the first of two Jennifer Aniston covers so keep your seat belts on.)

If this topic sounds familar, it is.  Check out this recent issue of Life & Style.

Does it matter that it’s basically the same cover three weeks later?

Not at all.  The reader barely remembers what the covers were from last week.

With that being said, let’s  focus on the new Jennifer Aniston baby cover.

The major positive is the photo.  Jen has her hand on her stomach – like the previous version.  This is always a sure sign that a celebrity weekly editor’s dream has come true and Jennifer Aniston is pregnant.

So far, so good – right?

Well – the cover turns south with its main line.

You can always tell that a star is not pregnant with the phrase above the main line “I’ll be a.”  Life & Style should have made that line as small as humanly possible.

But, they might have made up for it by making SINGLE MOM super large.   At a quick glance, the reader sees Jen with her hand on her stomach and the words SINGLE MOM.  That’s what Life & Style was shooting for when it put this cover layout together.

One note about the sidebar.  You’ll notice that Robert Pattinson is back on the cover of Life & Style on the top left.  This means that last week’s cover featuring Pattinson and his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart did well because the top left is a key place for hot stories.

However, Life & Style chose not to follow it up with another full Pattinson cover, which tells me they didn’t have much more on him besides the cheeky line “hookup trick.”

Bottom Line: Strong picture and strong main line will make this a good week for Life & Style on the newsstand.
