PREDICTION: Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie's Bodyguard Tells All (or Tried Really Hard to)

Drama is brewing in the tranquil world of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which means they will make it to the cover of a celebrity weekly.  (Can’t they simply shop at Stop & Shop and be left alone?!?)

What Happen Now?

This weekend the New York Daily News reported that Mickey Brett, the former bodyguard of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, sent the paper a proposal for a memoir and a TV show, both offering Brett’s first-person account of his time with Brangelina.

According to the Daily News, Brett had fond memories of Jolie, whom he had been protecting since 2001, and less fond recollections of Pitt.

When the Daily News called for comment, Marty Singer, the couple’s litigator, said Brett wasn’t a reliable source and even called him a “pathological liar.”   Singer added that Brett is bound by a confidentiality agreement.

Now Brett is Blaming the Ghostwriter?

The story gets even stranger.   According to Singer, Brett has now stated that he’d never signed off on the pitches and that many of the stories attributed to him were fabricated by his ghost writer.

Brett’s ghost writer, Robin McGibbon, insists that he did not embellish the bodyguard’s stories.

This all sounds very fishy!

How does this become a cover story for a Celebrity Weekly?

Here are two possible directions:

The Bodyguard Tells All – This type of line has worked really well for magazines like Star when they’ve done covers like “The Nanny Tells All.”

While the book by Brett isn’t being published according to the Daily News, you’re probably asking how can an editor get away with saying “The Bodyguard Tells All?”

He told the ghostwriter – didn’t he???

The Secrets Tearing Brad Pitt & Angelina Apart!  – What secrets are they trying to hide?   Why are they so adamant about not having this book published?  That’s what I want to know!

Perhaps one of the celebrity weeklies will get to the bottom of this story and find out, as well as provide juicy details explaining why Brett “wasn’t so fond of Pitt.”   That would be a compelling read to say the least.
