GLOBE: Bea Arthur Secret Heartache and Patrick Swayze's Suicide Drama
Two big stories on the Globe this week. The main one is focused on Patrick Swayze and his alleged suicide drama.
Story number 2 is Bea Arthur and the heartache she took to her grave.
It looks like Globe worked overtime this week ’cause…
The tab usually closes Friday but managed to get a major inset on the death of Bea Arthur on its cover, which occurred after deadline.
In this competitive environment, that’s what you have to do to be successful on the newsstand.
I’m assuming that it was too late to make Bea the full cover – but it’s nice to see she made it.
On an related note, I’m completely shocked that Bea Arthur did not receive one full cover in the category. Isn’t that crazy?
Back to Globe’s main story – which is Patrick Swazye.
It’s sad but any picture of Patrick Swazye on a cover of the tabloids draws strong sales – or we wouldn’t be seeing him so many times.
The line on this one is suggesting that Swazye is considering suicide – which is very sad.
I expect a ton of outrage from Swayze fans who will demand that he be left alone!
Stay tuned.
Bottom Line: I’m still sad about Bea not getting her full cover.
