I was at first – but when I read the cover line – My Story, Chistina Applegate – the choice made a bit more sense.

Rather than making this a cover simply about looks, People is coupling it with Applegate’s emotional cancer battle.

Telling a compelling story about the winner is much more interesting than simply saying “She’s Beautiful.”

Bottom Line: A nice surprise.
