Trista & Ryan's New Baby Pictures on Life & Style

Trista & Ryan Sutter – yes the reality show couple from years gone by – cover this week’s Life & Style.   They are news this week because they are showing off their new baby girl, Blakesly.

(Hey – Blakesly, wake-up!  You’re on the cover of a national magazine.  Oh, well.  That didn’t work.)

Will Trista & Ryan’s baby pictures be a big seller for Life & Style?

Overall, you can’t ask for a better staged shot – except that the baby’s eyes are completely shut.

It’s also a visually appealing cover.  The color combination screams baby.

On the other hand, most magazines would feature Trista and Ryan as an inset.  There’s simply no heat on this couple.

While Life & Style has made big strides in featuring new stars on its main cover like Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and Internet star Kim Kardashian, this cover is a step backwards.

The magazine would be much better served continuing to focus on the hot new stars of today – rather than bringing back a couple like Trista and Ryan — because it has differentiated itself from the competition by making new bold cover choices.

Bottom Line: Not bad for a c-list couple.
