  13. No, no, no…. entertaining, yes… unusual, yes… fun to watch, yes… fun to gather all your friends, yes… and even fun to perform, yes… BUT… as the divorce rate hovers at 50% and couples are splitting up faster than high schoolers are getting pregnant, should weddings evolve into entertainment edging closer and closer to circus acts rather than a sacred day of becoming bonded to another?

The thing is… marriage once meant to be something people took seriously, something sacred. The ritual of the wedding day was meant to be a serious affair, not to be taken lightly. First, people wanted to get married in Vegas… then in Vegas by Elvis… then skydiving dressed as Elvis and then underwater, while hang gliding, and now dancing down the aisle like so much Broadway fare. I enjoyed the dance. I liked the idea. But after the ceremony, at the reception party… but not during the vows.

We’ll see more of this…. taken to the next step… next will be costumes, characters and lines to read from a script. And a wedding will not be sacred, it’ll be a show to catch, an act to follow or something else to before you get the divorce.

  14. Natasha says:

I love how it wasn’t perfect… it was real people dancing away in celebration of these two getting married.

  15. Heather says:

Hasn’t anyone seen all the “marryoke” videos on YouTube? This idea doesn’t seem much different. If you like this video. Search for marryoke on YouTube. Some people do it better than others but there are some cute and funny ones.

  16. tony says:

    That is lame… attention whores.

A stench in the nostrils of Almighty God when performed in His House of prayer.
