Patrick Swayze was People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 1991.

With hair that would make Bon Jovi jealous, Patrick’s cover read: ‘Whether surfer, ghost or dirty dancer PATRICK SWAYZE thrills as Hollywood’s hunk with a heart.”

As People magazine reported today, Patrick valiantly fought his way through cancer — even refusing to issue statements about his health saying they would “cast negative shadow on the positive and good fight I’m fighting.”

He was working on his memoir and filming his A&E series ‘The Beast’ at the time of his death.
