Mischa Barton covers the September issue of Italian fashion magazine Donna Moderna.

Barton‘s looks have been famously hit or miss as of late, so its refreshing to see her looking as slender and fresh-faced as her pre-tooth ache-loony-bin days.

Yet she does look uber-weepy in some of these photos — even for a high fashion shoot. But boy is she “talking with her eyes.” Tyra Banks would be proud.

On a sour note, Barton‘s shot back in the limelight — CW’s The Beautiful Life — was canceled after only two episodes. The Ashton Kutcher produced series failed to score an audience much larger than 1 million viewers.
