Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page are on the cover of October’s Marie Claire doing promotions for that new Roller Derby movie Whip It!

Whip It! hits theatres October 2nd and Barrymore and co-stars are doing an awesome job peddling it off as some sort of slutty girls in skates flick. Which is probably smart.

Just listen to how Ellen gushes about Drew in Marie Claire:

“I first met Drew at the Chateau Marmont. And it was a surreal moment for me in my life. You could just feel her warmth and kindness immediately, and the way she carried herself was just so grounded. So then it was like, “Oh, this is going to be great.” And then it went into, “Oh, my God, I’m really crazy about this person.” It just grew and grew and grew and grew and grew.
