Entertainment Weekly: It’s Oscar Time!
George Clooney self-deprecates with Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendricke on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
George Clooney starred in what is turning out to be one of 2009′s best movies, Up In The Air. Art imitates life in the flick where notorious commitment-phone Clooney plays an eternal bachelor.
“Jason came to my house and brought the script and I read it,” Clooney says. “There were some things that sounded like they were taken from a Barbara Walters special that I had done. I’m not completely unaware of people’s perceptions of me. I sort of felt like, if you were ever going to deal with it, this is probably the best way to do it and the best person to do it with. If you can’t point at what people think are your shortcomings, then you’re boxing yourself in.”
The magazine also predicts Oscar nominees. Among Up In The Air, The Hurt Locker, Avatar, Precious, Inglourious Basterds, An Education, A Serious Man, Invictus, Up, It’s Complicated, District 9, and The Messenger are all contenders for Best Picture.

I think it is awful that so many negative people want to watch her go wrong. I pray that she can surround herself with better folk and enjoy her life once again.
