After news hit the web that Paula Abdul wasn’t invited back for another season of American Idol, her fans tweeted angry posts in response. Using the hash tag #keeppaula, past Idol contestants and viewers of the show expressed their outrage.

According to usmagazine.com: “Season 7’s Syesha Mercado Tweeted, “No Paula = No American Idol.” Katrina Darrell, the contestant known as “Bikini Girl” who clashed with new fourth judge Kara DioGuardi, wrote: “They don’t need a 4th judge, especially an insecure know it all kara. Keep Paula add bikini girl as 4th judge if they need.”

Paula tweeted that she was “moved 2 tears” by the response.

Looks like Simon Cowell is getting a HUGE raise.

Simon Cowell, who reportedly made $36 million last year for judging American Idol, has been offered three or four times that amount.

He could receive between $100 million and $144 million per year — by co-producers Fox and 19 Entertainment to stick with “Idol” when his contract expires next May, according to reports.
