The Obamas are all the rage right now but it’s starting to look like editors are treating the Obamas like Brangelina.
Magazine editors are tapping into the Obamas for their covers to the point of over-saturating the market.
Newsweek just released its special issue featuring the Obama family (above), an 84-page issue, which is carrying a hefty $7.95 cover price and remain on sale until February, 2009.
“We wanted to do a standalone issue that celebrates this historic moment in American history and the American presidency,” said Newsweek editor Jon Meacham tells Folio, who calls the issue “a keepsake.”
This special issue is not unique in its premise.
