Barack Obama Raises $10 Million In One Star-Studded Night

Barack Obama’s campaign raised a record breaking $10 million last night at a series of events last night in Hollywood and Los Angeles.

The events cost $2,500 each per-person and included a steak dinner.  Barbara Streisand and Ben Harper perfomred and audience members included Quincy Jones, Pierce Brosnan and Jamie Foxx. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster, Tobey Maguire, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, Larry David, Jamie Lee Curtis and Steven Spielberg were also in attendance.

Anne Hathaway Gets Political, Supports Obama

Anne Hathaway is just one of the many celebs that are in Denver for the DNC. Here are just some of her thoughts from an interview with the AP’s Danny Strong.

On the entertainment effect on politics:

“I think the entertainment industry has all good intentions when we try to come out. The thing that is unfortunate is that some of us who are maybe a little recognizable, we’ve got to come out as private citizens and support our country in any way that we can.”

On Barack Obama:

I was kind of afraid of Obama the first time I saw him. I thought, I’ve been burned by guys like you before. I’ve been burned by politicians before that I wanted to believe in and just didn’t live up to it. And I was afraid to trust him and I was afraid to have hope when I first kind of became aware of him.
