CLINTON READY TO ENDORSE OBAMA

It’s really over.

Senator Hillary Clinton will endorse Senator Barack Obama on Saturday, bringing a close to her 17-month campaign for the White House, aides said. Her decision came after Democrats urged her Wednesday to leave the race and allow the party to unite around Mr. Obama, according to the NY Times.

One adviser said Mrs. Clinton would concede defeat, congratulate Mr. Obama and proclaim him the party’s nominee, while pledging to do what was needed to assure his victory in November.

PRESIDENT BUSH ATTACKS BARACK OBAMA

This a big story breaking right now from Jerusalem.

President Bush has dived head first into this year’s president race with a set of shocking statements.

President Bush suggested Thursday that Sen. Barack Obama and other Democrats are in favor of “appeasement” of terrorists in the same way U.S. leaders appeased Nazis in the run-up to World War II, reports CNN.com.

“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” said Bush, in what White House aides privately acknowledged was a reference to calls by Obama and other Democrats for the U.S. president to sit down for talks with leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“We have heard this foolish delusion before,” Bush said in remarks to the Israeli Knesset. “As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American Senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”

“Obviously this is an unprecedented political attack on foreign soil,” Obama Communications Director Robert Gibbs told CNN.

IT’S BARACK COVER MANIA!

barackesquire.jpg

Here’s the brand new issue of Esquire featuring…Barack Obama.

The picture choice on this one shows Barack in somewhat of a defensive pose - which is how appeared leading up to his big North Carolina victory.

On another note, Esquire which closes before the newsweeklies, is lucky that Barack won North Carolina or this cover would have been off-base.

BARACK OBAMA IS “ALMOST THERE”

economistbarack.jpg

The Economist is less aggressive than Time Magazine’s cover, which basically called Barack Obama the nominee.

When you look closely at the picture you see Barack’s hand coming close to crossing the line on the American flag — but he hasn’t actually crossed the (finish) line.

Brilliant picture choice!

BARACK OBAMA IS THE WINNER*

Well, not just yet.

Hillary doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon!

Why do you think she’s staying in the race?

Does she want to be the VP candidate?

Or does she think there is some way she can win?

Your thoughts?

BACK TO POLITICS: IS JOHN MCCAIN THE ULTIMATE WINNER?

newsmaxmccain.jpg

And is he ready to pick up the phone?

Oh that’s right - when you get older you don’t need as much sleep so McCain will probably be awake at 3 a.m.

Pasetsky’s Cover Critique

What else could explain that wacky interview with Tom Cruise?  Tom looked more normal in that interview than Oprah!

Oprah has been acting SOOO weird lately in general that I find this story not only entertaining - but believable.

Not the cult part - but the…
