PORTFOLIO’S STRIKING COVER TECHNIQUE

Why doesn’t every magazine place the page numbers on its cover the same way Portfolio is doing with its new issue featuring Barry Diller?

BARRY DILLER LAUNCHES BLACK SEARCH ENGINE AND OFFERS MORE THAN SEARCH

Black Web Enterprises president Johnny Taylor says RushmoreDrive.com — named after the street on which its Charlotte offices are located—goes beyond search.

Each query also returns news, images, video and blogs.

Blacks want “everything we already get from Google plus highly relevant news,” Taylor tells FOLIO. “RushmoreDrive will deliver a more relevant search with people who identify with being black.”

RusmoreDrive is backed by IAC (InterActive Corp.), which is run by former Fox and Paramount chairman Barry Diller.
