Saying someone is the next Miley Cyrus is the new black. We’ve heard that Selena Gomez is the next Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato is the next, and also, iCarly’s Miranda Cosgrove.

Miley takes this as a compliment, but is holding her ground, telling Extra, “I don’t think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi … [and] make their own way.”

But really, Hannah Montana can’t go on forever and Miley is inevitably going to get older, opening the way for a new teen sensation.

“A big congratulations to Joe,” brother Kevin Jonas, 20, said before a Los Angeles taping of MTV’s new music show FNMTV on Friday. “He just graduated from high school. It happened yesterday so it’s a big deal.”

The Jonas Brothers also confirmed they will perform at their first MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Camp Rock scored big time in the ratings on Friday - reaching nearly nine million viewers.

Our sister site Shakiki.com covers young Hollywood so I watched the movie - and wasn’t really sure what to expect.

After about twenty minutes, I knew exactly what I was getting. A carbon copy of Disney’s highly-successful High School Musical franchise.

Joe Jonas was basically Zac Efron’s character. Demi Lovato was the Vanessa Hudgens’ character. And the story line of course ends with the two of them together. I could go on, but I don’t want to bore you.

Will the kids realize Disney’s master plan? (Create ten different versions of the same movie - but just used different stars) Only time will tell.

So why are the Celebrity Weeklies just like Camp Rock?

The Jonas Brothers’ first movie-musical enjoyed a big premiere on the Disney Channel on Friday night. The debut of Camp Rock was a ratings hit, drawing 8.9 million viewers, Nielsen Media Research announced Saturday.

The Camp Rock audience surpassed the 7.7 million viewers who watched High School Musical’s Disney debut two years ago, but fell way short of High School Musical 2, which won cable’s Most-Watched Entertainment Telecast Ever after 17.7 million.
