(What is Christie Brinkley possibly thinking? That son of a biiiiiitch!)
Christie Brinkley insisted that this case be opened to the public - and so far - it’s the story of the summer (aside for MadonnaRod).
The “normally staid Suffolk County courthouse in Central Islip turned into an adults-only peep show when the 49-year-old cad [Peter Cook] admitted under oath that he habitually…
This story gets juicier by the minute!
New York Yankee Alex Rodriquez was at Madonna’s Central Park West apartment in New York City shortly after his wife gave birth to their second daughter, according to Usmagazine.com.
One source tells Us that Rodriguez visited the singer possibly as early as the night after his wife gave birth.
Wow if that’s true!
This news breaks hours after Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s longtime publicist, denied the Madonna divorce rumors as well as the affair with Alex Rodriguez.
Today, Hearst announced the closure of Quick & Simple - but declared it will be keeping its web site open (www.quickandsimple.com).
For how long is anyone’s guess.
This news is not surprising - especially when you look at Quick & Simple’s cover choices, which recently varied dramatically from cover to cover.
This marks good news for Bauer Publishing - which publishes the most successful women’s weekly in the U.S. — Woman’s World.
The timing of today’s announcement is not surprising, especially as we head into the holiday weekend.

A recent issue of Star Magazine said Angie’s Having Twin Girls!
A recent issue of InTouch Weekly said Angelina’s having a boy and a girl!
So while, Brad Pitt is pacing around waiting for his twins to arrive, so are the editors of Star Magazine and InTouch Weekly.
I can’t wait to see who was right and who was wrong.
Can you imagine if she has two boys?

Pete Wentz, hubbie to Ashlee Simpson, makes some pretty provocative comments in this month’s issue of Out Magazine.
Click here to find out more.

In last week’s issue of In Touch Weekly, the magazine proclaims that Angelina Jolie is still pregnant.
There had been numerous rumors that Angie had given birth but that was denied.
The magazine’s proof that Angelina Jolie is still pregnant is this blurry side-view photo at the bottom of the spread with what looks like Zahara and Shiloh standing next to her.
Upon close inspection of the photo credits, the magazine does not credit the photographer or photo agency. There is simply a N/C (which stands for not credited). All the other photos are credited on the spread.
When we called Bauer Publishing’s headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (full disclosure: I used to work there), we asked which agency took the photo or was if it taken by an independent photographer.
If the photo was taken by a “legitimate photo agency,” I would feel pretty secure that the photo was indeed taken on June 22, 2008. If the photo was taken by an “independent paparazzi,” I would not be so confident.
Unfortunately, CoverAwards received the following comment from a spokesperson when we asked the above question:
“Thanks for reaching out. We do not comment on this type of information.”
However, the magazine did heavily promote its photo scoop by emailing the photo out to numerous media outlets.
Since the magazine won’t comment, I will suggest a possible theory as to why this picture is older than the magazine is claiming.
Did a photographer pull a scam on InTouch?
An independent photographer (who looks like they take photos on people’s private properties while hanging from a tree) may have sold InTouch the photo and assured the magazine that the picture was taken on June 22nd.
The mag, which may or may not have a strong relationship with the photographer, may have taken the photographer at his/her word.
Why?
In the celebrity world, there are many dedicated fans who are creating innovative fan sites to celebrate the stars. At CoverAwards, today we are starting a new feature covering these endeavors.
Kicking it off is SimplyBrad.com, which focuses on covering the professional life and times of Brad Pitt.
Pasetsky’s Prediction:
After following the Madonna/Guy Ritchie divorce reports last week, I thought this would be a definitive cover for one of the celebrity rags this week.
Now Guy Ritchie’s mom Lady Amber Leighton may have put a stop to that as she stated very clearly that her son and Madonna were NOT filing for divorce.
Leighton said there was ‘no conversation about divorce because there is no divorce’ and described allegations that couple had spoken to lawyers as ‘works of fiction,” according to the Daily Mail Online.
Ritchie flew to New York on Friday night to see Madonna and their children after a week of reports that she had asked him for a divorce.
Even with the denial, I expect to see many insets with lines like “Inside Madonna’s Marriage Crisis” or “Talking Divorce.”
The only way this becomes a main cover story is if one of the weeklies has solid sourcing that the couple is indeed splitting and Guy Ritchie’s mom is totally off-base with her comments.
Jam packed with a ton of stars, People delivers a fun special that shows kids stars then and now.
On the cover, Jerry Maguire’s Jonanthan Lipnicki, E.T.’s Drew Barrymore, The Sixth Sense’s Haley Joel Osment, Family Matters’ Jaleel White , A Christmas Story’s Peter Billingsley, Punky Brewster’s Soleil Moon Frye and The Cosby Show’s Raven-Symone.
