What a guy! Brad Pitt has donated $100,000 to fight California’s November ballot initiative that would overturn the state Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage.

“Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8,” Pitt said Wednesday.

MTV’s resident bisexual Tila Tequila is overjoyed over the wedding of power-lesbians Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. 

“I thought it was awesome,” she tells Usmagazine.com, “I was really excited when I heard about it, and the fact that they are openly out there… they look so happy together.”

Tila no doubt, feels partially responsible.

‘Marriage,” the U.S. Supreme Court ruled more than 40 years ago, “is one of the ‘basic civil rights of man,’ fundamental to our very existence and survival.”

And yet that right has been routinely denied to American men and women based on their sexual orientation. Government, which at its best acts to protect and extend the rights of its citizens, instead has long stood as an impediment to gay men and lesbians who just want to marry the one they love.
