The final “ER” season is bringing back some of its original stars for guest shots, but Julianna Margulies won’t be among them.

She was invited, she says, but declined according to reports.

Margulies, who played nurse Carol Hathaway on the NBC hospital drama from its 1994 premiere, exited after six seasons. Her character left Chicago’s County General for Seattle, settling down with Dr. Doug Ross, who had been played by George Clooney.

Brad’s latest comedy, the Coen Brother’s Burn After Reading, debuted at No. 1 this weekend with $19.4 million.  The flick also stars George Clooney, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton.

Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys opened at No. 2 with $18 million, while Robert DeNiro’s Righteous Kill came in third with $16.5 million.  Meg Ryan’s The Women opened at No. 4 with $10.1 million.

Not so much, says George.  The star is denying an LA Times report that he and the Senator engage in frequent communication. 

“I have never texted or e-mailed Senator Obama. And I’ll offer a million dollars to anyone who could prove otherwise,” George has announced in a statement. “I’ve spent more time with Senator McCain (he did my TV show) then I have with Senator Obama. I would hope that my friend John McCain would join me in condemning this kind of politics.”

George has been the brand’s spokesperson since 2004 and appears here with a slightly creepy 1970’s Eurpoean jigalo ’stache and some twitchy facial expressions.

In 2005, Britain’s Code of Advertising began requiring liquor ads to avoid linking booze with seduction, although romance and flirtation are allowed, reports Jossip, but I think I little skin-on-skin action would have helped this commercial tremendously.

Thoughts? Hot or not?
