How lucky is Marc Anthony?

His wife, superstar J. Lo, threw him a surprise party at New York City’s Bowery Hotel for his 40th birthday. The theme was 1940’s Cuba and featured burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, a salsa orchestra, mojitos and showgirls in feather headdresses.

Jennifer Lopez completed the Nautica Malibu Triathlon in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38.8 seconds on Sunday.

J. Lo was suppose to judge the season finale of Project Runway, but according to  Heidi Klum, “cancelled yesterday due to a foot injury.”

Despite Heidi’s comments, Gunnar Petersen, Jennifer’s trainer, denies any mishap, telling OK! “No injuries, all good.”

Just a mere six months after giving birth to twins, ,J. Lo has started training for a triathlon.  It will take place in Malibu and benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Jen has said of the training: “I keep telling myself that when I’m training, ‘This is for charity. Your kids are going to know about this. Don’t embarrass the family! Get it done, Lopez!’ I feel like my stamina, I can get it up there if I work really hard.”

But it’s not easy! Jen’s toughest challenge?

Pasetsky’s Cover Critique

Wow! Sounds scary.

Angie was rushed to the hospital, according to Richard Spencer’s Life & Style.

Looks like CoverAwards has some fans at Life & Style.On Monday, I suggested that one of the celebrity weeklies would be well-served by creating a cover that “humanizes” Angelina.

And this one certainly does that.

The picture is of Angelina is very strong.  Angie looks hurt, sad and makes me want to find out what happened to her.

On another note, doesn’t Brad look ridiculous.  Why would someone like Brad Pitt have to “scramble” to get Angie medical care.  He sounds like a bumbling fool.

On to the insets, “What Mom [Lynne Spears] Really Thinks.”

This line is weak and would not get me to buy the magazine.  Plus, the word “really” should be permanently banned.

And more babies for J. Lo.  Yawn!  And the UPC code is cutting off J. Lo at the neck.  Bad design!

Bottom Line: A close to rate-base sale for Life & Style — close.
