“I’m a tomboy,” she admits in the new issue of Maxim.

“Already today I’ve changed two light bulbs and hung a picture.

When I bought my house, the toilet ring needed to be changed so I got a how-to-book and did it myself.  As long as it doesn’t involve gas or electricity or blowing up the house, I’ll totally give it a try.”

Maxim got a whole lot of sh#@ for NOT reviewing a “full” album. Well, now its lost its number two editor A.J. Baime, according to Jeff Bercovici at Portfolio.

To top it off, newsstand sales are down. This doesn’t surprise me at all! Read my recent critique and you’ll see why.

Is Avril a strange choice for the cover of Maxim?

I’d say so. 

Inside the magazine, you’ll find out about her upcoming world tour (which I will be skipping). 

According to Avril, ”This will be a much bigger production than anything I’ve ever done. The color for this album is pink, so I’ll be playing a pink piano, and there’s a pink drum kit and a bunch of dancers. It’s gonna rock.”

On a personal note, I saw Avril perform live at Saturday Night Live (thanks to ML).   She made absolutely no emotional connection with the audience and it makes me wonder who would buy tickets to see her in a full concert.
