Remember what a big deal it was when Justin Timberlake ripped off Janet Jackson’s bustier at the end of the 2004 Superbowl half-time show?

Today, a three judge panel said that CBS should not have to bear a “big financial burden,” reports People.

“A federal appeals court in Philadelphia on Monday tossed out the $550,000 that the Federal Communications Commission levied against CBS Corp. for the 2004 nationally televised halftime show that introduced the phrase “wardrobe malfunction” to the world. The court said the FCC had acted “arbitrarily and capriciously.”

You can tell a lot about a magazine’s audience by who the editor selects for its cover. 

And National Enquirer is clearly the geezer magazine in the weekly category!

I wonder if they’ll try to make it younger like our friends at People Magazine.

 WHICH JANET JACKSON COVER DO YOU PREFER?

Personally, I prefer Hype.  It’s a nicer pic and you can actually see her hair.  What do you think?

They Are Trying to Shock and They Fail!

Janet’s everywhere promoting her new album and now she’s on the cover of the April issue of BlackBook.  It hits newsstands March 25th.

BlackBook is trying to shock me, but it doesn’t.  The line above Janet’s name says “To think of it, all she ever wanted to be was an actress and now this.”  This line feels totally dated.   Janet’s been singing for quite a while so what’s so shocking???

Below Janet’s name is another non-shocking line “Is No Kept Lady, Read Her Lips.  And Heel!”   So now Janet’s likes doing some weird stuff - huh?

The main photo of Janet is AWFUL.  Her face looks angry and it’s not the way I want to see her.   The outfit is over the top and another effort to shock.  But it fails.  Does this look remind you of her in the video “Scream” she did with brother Michael?

Overall, YAWN!

And knocks Madonna at the same time!  What the hell is she thinking?

I’ve always been a pretty big Janet fan — until NOW.  According to HX, there’s this shit about her wanting to kick Madonna’s ass. That just ain’t cool.

In this new  HX article Janet laughs off those rumors (cuz they better not be true!)

But when asked the following question,

“If a “Janet” drag queen had to battle a “Madonna” drag queen, what advice would you give the “Janet” queen?

Kick the bitch’s ass!

OK - I’d pay to see that fight. But let me tell you something Janet. I’ve met drag queen Madonna and I’ve met drag queen Janet…and drag queen Janet is No &%@$ compared to  drag queen Madonna.

So Janet, keep your peace and do your own thing.  It’s good - but you’ll NEVER be Madonna!

I Think That Was The Point.

It’s hard to focus on anything else on this cover besides Janet’s BOOBS!  There I said it!

Anyhow, moving on.  Wait, I can’t.  You’ve got to give Ebony credit.  A lot of other magazines would do something really dumb and cover up Janet’s boobs with type or something.  Not the editors at Ebony.  They basically let Janet’s HANG out.

They do ask a good question “Does Janet Still Have it?”  But wait, is that about her boobs or about her music?  If it’s about her boobs, it’s a DEFINITE YES.  If it’s about her music, I’m not so sure.  What do you think?
