Top Newssweek staffers are “said to be envious of their rivals at Time over the annual Time 100 celeb-fest, which draws the world’s biggest names for an evening of black-tie admiration,” according to Page Six.

Last week’s Time event drew Robert Downey Jr, John McCain, Mariah Carey and others.

“It’s not fair,” complained one mag vet to  Page Six.  “Time butters up all these bigwigs and then gets access.”

When Barack Obama won North Carolina, he said, “The question , then, is not what kind of campaign they will run; it’s what kind of campaign we will run. 

It’s what we will do to make this year different.  You see, I didn’t get into this race thinking that I could avoid this kind of politics, but I am running for President because this is the time to end it.”
