E! Entertainment TV has gotten the rights for some of the runs of the SATC movie in the network window following the movie’s basic-cable premiere on the USA Network, reports Variety. The price of $7 million could buy a lot of Manolos. Or martinis, depending on what your thing is.

This weekend the movie is experiencing quite a dip in attendance with full figures expected later today.

Sex and the City scored a record-breaking opening weekend earning $55.7 million – the most ever made by an R-rated comedy.
“To be No. 1 is unexpected,” Parker, 43, told People. “Beyond that, it would be greedy for us to think about, talk about” how much it might make.”

The movie does stay true to the characters and takes you on a roller coaster of emotions.

Eve magazine asked Sarah Jessica Parker if “in real life, does she have a tight-knit group of girlfriends?”
“I do have very close female friends, but we don’t tend to get together as foursomes at a restaurant.
We just don’t have that kind of time, because we have children. But those friendships have the same meaning, for sure.
You can ask all those questions about the reality of the Sex and the City girls’ financial ability to buy such fabulous clothes, but for me the most ridiculous thing was how much time they had together.
I wish I had as much time as Carrie.”
