This cover is way dramatic. Almost too dramatic.
Isn’t The Hills a reality TV show?
I’m not sure at this point that the reader is even that sympathetic to Lauren.

Yes. It’s the Hills’ Day on CoverAwards!
And I predict one of the weeklies will go for a big Hills cover. There are so many options at this point but I’ll narrow it down for you.
- The feud between Lauren and Heidi (never get old - at least yet!)
- The rift between Heidi and Spencer (more new details on their troubled relationship)
Don’t be surprised if US Weekly goes for two straight Hills’ covers. They own this topic in the celebrity weekly space and would hate to see one of their competitors pick-up this young audience!
Looks like Janice Min got pissed off at Lauren Conrad for attacking the above cover!
According to Us Weekly’s web site, “Conrad also corrected false web reports about her relationship with Us Weekly, stating, “It was never my intention to criticize Us Weekly as I have a great relationship with them.”‘
Janice doesn’t like it when anyone calls BULLSHIT on her! My guess on what happened is that Us Weekly threatened to never put LC on the cover again and LC caved in!
Note to Lauren Conrad: US Weekly will use you on its cover until you stop selling issues (remember Jessica Simpson?) So stand up for yourself!
I still believe Janice Min should issue an apology for this WRONGO cover!
Last week Gawker posted a link to Salon’s piece on the end of the Golden Age of Celebrity Gossip. Part of the end of “the Golden Age” was attributed to people like Janice Min.
So, yesterday a reporter from Gawker was at a local newsstand buying cigarettes and two young girls about eight years old apparently pointed to the Lauren Conrad cover and wanted to buy the mag, but sadly didn’t have enough money.
(We all know at this point that this cover is completed made-up according to LC herself!)
The Gawker reporter’s conclusion is that Janice knows what she’s doing - because of this focus group of two. Um, ok?
As CoverAwards reported, Lauren Conrad is pissed off about Janet Min’s FAKE cover!
I believe Janice Min should issue a public apology to Lauren Conrad on US Weekly’s web site.
How can you make this happen?
Call the NY office of US Weekly at 212.484.1616 and demand an apology!
