CoverAwards’ Exclusive: More’s Lesley Jane Seymour Says Her Readers Are Focused on the Economy in Election 2008

Election Day Special

CoverAwards spoke exclusively to More Magazine’s Editor and Chief Lesley Jane Seymour and she filled us in on her readers’ reaction to Election 2008:

“I think for the readers, like for me, this election is going to be all about the economy,” says Seymour.  “We did a poll a few months ago to suss out what readers considered the number one issue, and then one again that’s up right now, and the economy has gone up in importance—not surprisingly.”

So how is Seymour spending her election night?

“I’m going to be teaching my class at NYU!  Then going home to Westchester on the train and spending all night listening to the news.  I’m a news junkie,” adds Seymour.

On the worst body mistake a woman can make after 40: “Working out too much [after 40]  is rough. I call it beef jerky [arms]. Like when the skin starts clinging to the bones.”
