Conde Nast’s Men’s Vogue & Portfolio Magazines Scaling Back

Bad news for Mens’ Vogue and Portfolio Magazine.

Condé Nast confirmed it plans to scale back Men’s Vogue to twice a year frequency from 10 times.

“Men’s Vogue will be absorbed into Vogue and published in the spring and fall, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President and C.E.O of Condé Nast Publications. It will continue to be edited by Jay Fielden.”

Men’s Vogue publisher Marc Berger is leaving the company. The fate of the rest of the staff isn’t clear.

Condé Nast’s Portfolio will also scale back, to a 10 times-a-year frequency from a monthly schedule this year. “We’re readjusting for the economic times,” a spokesperson for the title said.

Condé Nast is also surprisingly scaling back Portfolio’s web site.
