Not only is Project Runway moving to Lifetime next season, it may also be getting a new magazine partner.  Elle’s contract is up and could be renewed, but rumor has it that Marie Claire is also interested.  Since MC is published by Hearst Magazines, whose parent company owns Lifetime, they may have an advantage.

Forbes Lea Goldman Joins Marie Claire

Lea Goldman, who was responsible for overseeing Forbes successful celebrity list franchise, is jumping ship to join Marie Claire!  Lea was a frequent guest on the big cable channels, from VH1 to Fox, and this marks a big get for Marie Claire. 

Desperate Move? Marie Claire Uses Coupons to Drive Cover Sales!

In an unusual effort for a fashion magazine, Marie Claire is running a coupon in the February issue for 50 cents off for the March fasion issue, according to Lucia Moses at Mediaweek.

Marie Claire editor Joanna Coles tells Mediaweek, “It’s not something we would do regularly,” she said of the coupon, a tactic more commonly associated with women’s service than with fashion/beauty books.  “But if it really works, never say never.”  For Lucia’s complete report, click here!
