Mariska Hargitay is on the August issue of Redbook and opens up about her injury on the Law and Order: SVU set this past winter. After performing a stunt and landing the wrong way, Hargitay learned that 50% of her right lung collapsed.

“I began to panic,” she said. “I was so scared. I had so much to lose, so much to live for … I have so many blessings, and I’ve learned from all of my experiences and my losses. I look at all the things life has allowed me to do and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.”
