Michael Phelps to Be Pitchman for Subway

Michael Phelps continues to strike gold in the endorsement department.

The Olympian has inked a deal with Subway to represent the brand “across all marketing channels” in a campaign touting the chain’s variety of offerings, reports AdAge.

Phelps also helps promote Kellogg, Visa, Speedo and Rosetta Stone. The deal locks Mr. Phelps into an exclusive fast-food contract.

Not at all!  In fact, the Republican pick for VP, who watched it on her campaign plane,  thought it was funny

“She thought it was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween,” her spokesperson Tracey Schmitt told CBS News.

SNL Premier Has Highest Numbers Since 2001


Saturday Night Live had its highest premier since 2001.

Featuring Olympian Michael Phelps as host and Tina Fey doing her spot-on impression of VP pick Sarah Palin (above), it was also the most-watched episode since December 17, 2002, when Al Gore guest-hosted.

Jay Leno’s Big Ratings Thanks to Michael Phelps


Monday’s “Tonight Show With Jay Leno” with guest star Phelps gave the late-night talker its best ratings since June 17.

“Tonight” averaged a 4.1 household metered-market rating/10 share, Nielsen Media Research said Tuesday.
