Tween stars are taking over! Everywhere you turn the Jonas Brothers are doing their cute boy band thing or Miley Cyrus is morphing into a rock star from Hannah Montana.

So who’s the biggest star when it comes to dollar signs?

In the Miley-JoBro monetary face off, Miley comes out in the lead. The band’s reported earnings for the past year added up to around $12 million, while Miley makes in the billions.

But long term predictions have the boys growing in value, while Miley’s brand may be harder to sustain.

The aftermath of the Miley Cyrus controversy has been messy with both the star and the mag receiving negative attention.

This month Vanity Fair is running just a few of the unprecedented 915 responses it received regarding the bed sheet photos taken of Miley by Annie Lebovitz. Few responses were positive, but according to Graydon Carter, “They were much kinder than the letters we got when Christopher Hitchens took on Mother Theresa. I got angry letters from staff members on that one.”

Miley is Billboard Magazine’s cover girl this week. (Click here to see the cover)

She spoke with them about that whole messy Vanity Fair scandal, and said, “I was embarrassed… but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong.”

“ I think that just makes me even more relatable. I don’t think people will look at me any differently because they’re like,’You know what, I’m going to do stupid stuff too, and I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s fine.’ It still hurts when I think about it.”

Do you forgive her? I do.

Vanity Fair features an extensive piece and pictorial on Barbara Walters.

In one of the most shocking quotes in the piece, Barbara was told, “It will never happen.  No star is going to sit down and do an interview with you.”

Boy, was she wrong!

On her history move to co-anchor the ABC Evening News with Harry Reasoner in 1976, Walters said “The blood was so bad between Harry and me that his cronies took to using a stopwatch to note my airtime.”

Disney may be cursing Vanity Fair’s racy Miley Cyrus photos - but only because they came too soon.

“You can’t control the maturing and growing up of individuals, especially girls 12 to 18,” Abbey Konowitch, general manager of Disney’s Hollywood Records, told Portfolio.

What they hoped to control was the public awareness of that maturing.

But in another year or two, when they were ready to move Miley into a different demographic, Disney execs might have come up with the idea and pitched it to Vanity Fair themselves, according to Portfolio.
