The Hills took a dip in ratings during it’s premier the other night.
While each season debut has had a growth rate, this season’s isn’t so lucky. The ratings were down 9% in its key 12-to-34 demographic (2.1 million) and down 5% among total viewers (3.5 million) when compared to its one-hour season 3 debut, reports MediaWeek.
The new season of The Hills starts tonight at 10pm on MTV.
Will Lauren have her heartbroken by friends and lovers? Will Audrina move out? Will Lo continue to be kind of a bitch? Will Heidi and Spencer be annoying?

If you think it would be cool to live next door to Hill’s star LC, think again.
Lauren’s neighbors have brought up zoning issues as to Audrina’s guest house and complained to Radarof “paparazzi violence, dangerous traffic, vandalism, production-vehicle parking violations, and the interruption of Internet service for as long as 72 hours when MTV wirelessly transmits the show as they shoot.”

Looks like Lo is still going to be the villain, Audrina is still (though possibly not for long) chilling with sexy moron JustinBobby, Brody goes to jail, Spencer is still a D-bag and Heidi and Lauren still aren’t talking (though they do show up at Stephanie Pratt’s birthday). And-Heidi has a sister!
But wait-where is Whitney?
Ah, who cares, it’s all so exciting and dramatic! I can’t wait for the premier - Monday, August 18 at 10pm ET/PT on MTV.

“A big congratulations to Joe,” brother Kevin Jonas, 20, said before a Los Angeles taping of MTV’s new music show FNMTV on Friday. “He just graduated from high school. It happened yesterday so it’s a big deal.”
The Jonas Brothers also confirmed they will perform at their first MTV Video Music Awards in September.

With an average of 4.7 million viewers, the premiere of The Hills was the most watched program across all of TV for viewers aged 12 to 34 and the highest rated cable telecast of 2008.
This is big news for MTV as it can continue to showcase this hit and attract big time advertising for the series.
More importantly, I’m still wondering if Lauren is really designing her own clothing line or is someone else pulling off that magic. Also, did that dress in the show get burned on purpose???
