NEWSDAY: Giants Can’t Win Every Game?

Well.  I guess I didn’t expect the Giants to go undefeated forever.

But last night was not a good way to end that streak.

It was the Super Bowl champions first loss in 10 months and 15 days.

They were clobbered by the Cleveland Browns by the score of 35-14.

SPORTS: Can the New York Giants Win the Super Bowl Again?

Last year, it seemed improbable.

This year the Giants look unstoppable.

They destroyed the “four-time defending NFC West champion Seahawks Sunday” by the score of 44-6.

This was the teams most lopsided victory SINCE 1972.

Will they do it again?

They’re on their way!

MICHAEL STRAHAN: The Giants Won’t be Able to Fill My Void

In this week’s Page Six Magazine, Super Bowl champ Michael Strahan discusses life on and off the gridiron, his decision not to return to the game, and how his teammates will never be able to replace him.

He also disses his former team mates.  “Oh, man, puhleeeze, [Giants middle linebacker] Antonio Pierce said publicly my leadership was overrated. I’m going to say what’s true. I don’t think they’ll be able to fill my void. From a leadership standpoint that’s going to be the hardest part to replace.”

NEW YORK GIANTS TRADE JEREMY SHOCKEY TO SAINTS

Bye, Bye - NY

The New Orleans Saints acquired New York Giants Jeremy Shockey for a second- and a fifth-round draft pick in 2009, reports ESPN. The Saints had been trying since February to acquire the disgruntled New York Giants tight end.

A Giant Parade in New York City - But Don’t They Play In New Jersey???

Does it matter that the New York Giants play football in New Jersey?   I’m sure many of you around the country are asking that question.  Well, not to New Yorkers as thousands turned out in NYC to celebrate the Giant’s improbable victory over the New England Patriots.  

After all, we know the Giants would prefer to have their stadium in New York!   Who would want to play football in New Jersey when you could play in New York?   I guess the owners think the rent is lower there or something!
