TIME MAGAZINE: Pulls off Olympic Stunt with LeBron James & Dana Torres

Richard Stengel, Time’s Managing Editor, appeared on my favorite morning news show MORNING JOE on MSNBC, and said something like he simply couldn’t decide who to put on the cover of this special Olympic preview issue of Time Magazine.

Both stories were equally compelling. Dana Torres, the 41-year old swimmer and can LeBron James lead the men’s Olympic basketball team back to glory? (BTW-Time’s cover of Lebron James is not controversial at all compared to his appearance on Vogue with Giselle.)

BARACK OBAMA’S BIG OLYMPIC AD BUY

Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign will be among the TV sponsors of NBC Universal’s Olympics coverage, reports AdAge.

In the first significant network-TV buy of any presidential candidate in at least 16 years, the Obama campaign has taken a $5 million package of Olympics spots that includes network TV as well as cable ads.
