BIG STORY: KATE HUDSON & LANCE ARMSTRONG

(Image via Splash)

From spotted kissing on the tennis court to a profile on Lance Armstrong in the New York Times Style section, this couple is heating up.

I predict one of the celebrity weeklies will (cough) take a chance, and make Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong its main cover story on Wednesday.

Thoughts?

PEOPLE MAGAZINE FEATURE’S JENNA BUSH WEDDING

WILL IT SELL?

Pasetsky’s Cover Critique

Weddings are usually a sure-fire hit on the newsstands.

But here’s why I think this one won’t sell.

1) Everyone has already seen the pictures and the President’s reaction to his daughters wedding. This story feels OLD!

2) President Bush is the most unpopular President of all times according to recent reports.

3) No one really knows Jenna’s fiance. I watched the View this week — and they couldn’t even remember his name.

Bottom Line: Bummer for People this week!

PASETSKY’S CELEBRITY WEEKLY PREDICTION #1: EXPECT A KATE HUDSON & OWEN WILSON DRAMA COVER!

 elle.jpg

Kate Hudson admitted in the April issue of Elle UK that she still loves her ex-husband Chris Robinson and they’ll always be a family.

At the same time she’s dating Owen Wilson.

This has the making for a perfect cover for one of the celebrity weeklies.  We’ll see Wednesday!

Why This Issue of Candace Trunzo’s Star is Now Screwed!

Yesterday, I gave a glowing review for the above issue of Star and I stand by it.  They creatively used the visual of Jen and Owen on set looking lovey dovey with a pic of Owen and Kate inset on the cover.

Unfortunately for the mag, there is visual evidence that supports that there is NO LOVE TRIANGLE.  I pointed out yesterday that if this picture did surface it would be a problem for Star.

Click here and you’ll see the hot NEW pic of Kate & Owen romantically holding hands.  What makes this situation even worse, is the roofline of People’s J. Lo baby cover, which will be the BIGGEST seller of the year to date!

CRITIQUE: OK’s Brangelina’s “Secret Baby Vows” and Returns to OLD LOGO!

Congrats OK!!!  You Win Strangest Cover Line and Most Horrifically Designed Cover of the Day!

 ok.jpg

This is one of the wackiest Brad & Angelina cover stories I have seen in a LONG TIME!

We all know that Angelina’s pregnant and this is the cover of OK???

“Secret Baby Vows” is the main line and my first impression is what the HELL does that mean?

I won’t even get into the dek cuz it’s so damn bad.   Wait, I can’t resist!  Especially the one about Shiloh not being jealous.   Umm…did they do an interview with Shiloh and find out that Shiloh gave her blessing?

And that picture.   With all the new photos of them out together, this is the picture they selected for the cover.   It looks like a cut and paste job and she doesn’t even look pregnant!  Plus, they are not even looking at each other!

It Gets Worse!

The side bar uses (say it together) the most overused cover line in history “Scary Skinny!”   And then they top it off with “Why it’s so bad.”   You have to be a complete MORON to not know why it’s so bad to be “Scary Skinny.”

To top this one off, OK features Kate & Owen’s dangerous love and rumors that she’s having his baby.  Poor OK!  They probably didn’t see the photos of Kate’s rock hard abs proving she’s DEFINITELY not preggers.

And what is with the wacky cover design of OK this week.   The roof-line picture of Kate & Owen goes right into Brad’s head???

OK! Uses Old Logo!

Anyone notice that OK went back to its old logo on the outside of the magazine. (But forgets to change it on the inside.  I’m NOT KIDDING!)   Here’s last week’s cover if you want to fondly remember how OK copied US Weekly’s logo!
