Hey OK! Don’t Fire The Person Responsible for Putting Y On Ashlee Simpson’s First Name

Sad news the day before Thanksgiving.

Page Six is reporting that a person will be axed because of the now infamous misspelling of Ashlee Simpson’s name on the cover of OK! Magazine.

According to Page Six, “Somebody’s head should roll at OK!  Just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor in chief, the glossy had its first big bungle.  It somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” - on the cover, no less.

A rep for the magazine told Page Six, “It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will be probably fired.”

Is OK! Magazine seriously going to fire somebody over this error?

If that’s the case….that is

Giada de Laurentilis: I’m Romantic & Sensual

Paula Deen isn’t the only chef with a magazine cover this month!

On the cover of this week’s Page Six Magazine is Giada de Laurentiis, the host of the Food Network’s Everyday Italian and author of two New York Times best-selling cookbooks.  She talks with them about her childhood in Italy, success as a chef, family and much more.

She also broaches the subject of her low cut necklines and the response it has garnered from some viewers.  “Porn? I’m not doing porn! What the hell are people talking about? [It’s not] PBS-style cooking. I mean, I love Lidia [Bastianich], but [she’s] kind of boring. And Mario Batali [I] love to death…but he’s not romantic or sensual. Those are the things I bring to the table.”

The Insider’s Pat O’Brien Fired

Pat O’Brien, who was demoted from host of “The Insider,” after several stints in rehab, has been fired after an email sent Monday to his staff stating that middle class Americans “want to vomit” watching his replacement, Lara Spencer, picking out accessories.

The e-mail read:

“Hi, folks, I just spent a couple of days in Iowa - I’m a little bit of a favorite son there - and I spoke with maybe a thousand people and was very hands-on. Even Joe Biden said, ‘You should be running (for president)!’ But what I came away with was, these people can’t afford gas, books, food or schools or movies!

Page Six Magazine Getting Stronger

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF MARGI CONKLIN IS WORKING IT OUT!

pagesix317.jpg

Page Six Magazine is quietly going about its business and is building a strong magazine week after week.

Its covers are getting stronger, but even more impressive is what’s happening inside the magazine.

It offers a great mix of gossip and is flexing its style muscle with great features like “How to Wear Spring Fashion Now” and its “Six Picks Patent Bags” story was excellent.

They also surprise the reader with a spread on beautiful flowers!  I’m not kidding.  Whoever did the photo should get an award cuz these are not easy to pull off — especially for a weekly!

And, I love Page Six’s celebrity Sudoku.

Wonder if Page Six will ever go after the celebrity weekly market and put this mag on the newsstand???   I’d bet on it!
